Growing up in a military family gave me the opportunity to experience an adventurous and unique childhood. I was born in Puerto Rico and spent much of my early years in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where life was filled with sunshine, beach days, and fishing with dad. After my father retired from the military, my mother received orders to relocate to Japan, where I spent most of my high school years. During that time, I played fast-pitch softball, climbed Mt. Fuji, embraced Japanese culture, and developed a lifelong love for sushi and travel. I eventually made my way to the Midwest to attend Minnesota State University Moorhead — and that journey ultimately led me to Fargo, where my husband and I decided to plant our roots and build a life together.
Family has always been at the center of my world. My husband and I have been together since 2012 and married since 2017, and over the years we’ve built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and strong family connections. Today, my mother and father are fully retired and have decided to plant their roots in Fargo as well. We have family all over the world, from Wadena, MN to Pasau, Germany, so this decision has been a huge blessing for us.
Between my 3 sisters, 8 nieces and nephews, 4 Godchildren, and our 2 dogs, life is rarely quiet — and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m actively involved in my Church community and cherish spending time cooking, playing poker and board games with family, cross-stitching, playing the flute, and reminiscing about the many places life has taken us. I’m incredibly grateful for the journey that brought me to Fargo and excited for all that the future holds for my family and community here.
